CFAO Kenya Limited is a trading company established in 2012, initially under the name Toyota
Tsusho East Africa. The company went through a name change in June 2019 as a step to realign its business to the global business parent company CFAO ASA Group, whose mantra is “With Africa for Africa”. As a trading company, our focus is to build constructive collaboration and create business opportunities for CFAO Group and Toyota Tsusho Corporation in Kenya through our four business domains, Business Development, Agribusiness, Energy and Infrastructure. CFAO Kenya’s strategic investments and business initiatives reflect a strong commitment to sustainable development and economic growth in Africa. The company has invested into BasiGo, an electric vehicle manufacturer, and OFGEN, a renewable energy firm, to promote sustainability and capitalize on market opportunities in the region. Their involvement in Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and geothermal power plants further supports Kenya’s sustainable energy goals by facilitating the transfer of innovative technologies and best practices.
CFAO Kenya also partners with global manufacturing companies to introduce leading products to the African market. An example is our partnership with Unicharm to launch Sofy, a feminine hygiene product, in Kenya. In just six months, Sofy has become the fastest-growing feminine hygiene product in key retailers, achieving significant market presence.
In the agribusiness sector, CFAO Kenya is committed to the “With Africa for Africa” mission by
providing advanced farming technology. As the official distributor of Case IH Tractors and Genuine CNHI Parts in Kenya, we offer a wide range of agricultural equipment tailored to Kenyan farming conditions. The company ensures high availability of genuine parts and provides extensive aftersales support through a comprehensive dealer and service network. This includes a ‘Boots on the Ground’ mobile support program, which delivers on-site technical assistance and training to farmers, helping them succeed with high-quality products and services.
